I am Victor and I first gained interest in coding after hearing about it from a friend in 2020. Growing up, I never knew about the paths you could take in tech, so I was shocked when my friend told me about the few careers he knew about. I then spent most of 2020 researching the different types of careers in tech and watching videos of software engineers/developers who would vlog about their daily lives in tech. 2021 then became the year I decided to fully dive into the tech field by using free online resources such as freecodecamp and youtube. After realizing that I enjoy coding, I decided to attend the WeCanCodeIt boot camp to learn from professionals directly. I recently graduated from the WeCanCodeIT boot camp and despite how challenging it was, I learned a lot and enjoyed my time in it. I hope to bring my excellent communication and leadership skills along with my newly developed programming skills to a company that will make a difference. I also hope to bring more info on tech into the areas like my hometown to hopefully inspire future engineers/developers.
